Direct Care Pediatrics is a pediatric medical practice based in Sandy, Utah, founded by Dr. Dallin Hubbard, MD, PhD. We provide modern pediatric care through a direct care model that prioritizes access, longer visits, and direct communication between families and their pediatrician.
Direct Care Pediatrics provides comprehensive pediatric care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents, including:
Our care model is designed to help families manage common childhood illnesses, developmental concerns, and preventive care while reducing unnecessary urgent care and emergency room visits.
Direct Care Pediatrics allows families to text a real pediatrician directly for non-emergency medical questions, guidance, and follow-up care. This is not an AI chatbot or anonymous telehealth platform. Families communicate with their child’s pediatrician, who knows their medical history and family context.
Texting a pediatrician is commonly used for questions about symptoms such as fevers, rashes, minor injuries, medication questions, sleep concerns, feeding issues, and determining whether an in-person visit is needed.
Our text-based pediatric care is offered through a transparent monthly membership and provides continuity, convenience, and timely access to medical guidance.
Direct Care Pediatrics does not accept traditional health insurance. Families pay transparent monthly memberships or visit-based fees, which allows for:
This model allows physicians to spend more time with families and focus on practical, evidence-based pediatric care rather than insurance-driven limitations.
We provide comprehensive newborn and infant care, including feeding support, growth monitoring, jaundice evaluation, sleep guidance, and early developmental screening.
Direct Care Pediatrics also supports families who are considering or have chosen infant circumcision. We provide medical counseling before and after circumcision, including education on pain control, wound care, bleeding risk, and healing expectations.
For families who choose circumcision with or without vitamin K, we offer evidence-based counseling to help parents understand the risks, benefits, and current medical data. Our role is to provide accurate information, individualized guidance, and ongoing medical support aligned with each family’s values and informed decisions.
Our clinic is located in Sandy, Utah. We provide pediatric house calls in Sandy and surrounding communities, including Draper, South Jordan, Riverton, Midvale, Cottonwood Heights, and nearby areas. Virtual pediatric visits are available to families throughout the state of Utah.
Direct Care Pediatrics exists to make pediatric care more accessible, personal, and family-centered by removing insurance barriers and restoring the doctor–patient relationship.
